Thank you for your time. I'm beginning to wonder if it just wouldn't be easier to reinstall Windows 10 to my system. That's what my IT person in my home state said to do as well as many of my friends who have had the same issue.

I will be traveling again - on the road from April 3rd until April 7th and may not have internet access. April 7th - April 14th I will be in one place.

Again, thank you for all your work on this issue. It's pretty frustrating, isn't it!?

Jean

Jean, please don't do a reinstall until you hear from softwaremaniac. He may advise a reset (not reinstall) but let's see what he determines first. (Safe travels to you & Bruce!)

Hi Jean! Both I and my colleague are slammed currently. We are going to need some more time to figure out a fix for your problem. Apologies for the delay.

Remove Update Manually
1. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, press enter
wusa /uninstall /KB:4058702

Jean contacted me and advised that her computer updated to Windows 10 v.1803 April Update last night. With that, she asked me to close this thread with her thanks for your time. Since v.1803 essentially replaces the operating system, I advised her to start a new thread if she has any issues getting updates after the June 12 security updates are released.
