Help me beat these scumbags

It's not a hacker. At least, the specific error doesn't indicate such a case. In order to be able to solve the problem, let's accept this, for now.

So you tried the multi-BIOS switch?

You’re the boss - and we’ll find out sooner or later won’t we? Haha.

Yes, i have short stroked the system, hit the reset bios button, hit the jumper, CMOS battery, all of it. It’s written to the top of the efi stack, guaranteed.

OK. Since for now we are dealing with a BIOS issue, I'll ask for the topic to be moved to the Hardware Forum. We have experts there, and they will do their best to assist you. When you will be able to overcome this issue, we can return here and check the computer for malware.

Is this fine with you?

Besides the unironic deja vu, yes.

But listen, it’s written to the top of the memory. So unless they know of alternive ways to flush out a squatter in your UEFI I don’t know what they’re going to do. And isn’t a root kit malware??

And isn’t a root kit malware??

The specific error/warning is not a Rootkit's sign.

Let me throw the bios switch one last time

Sure. It seems logical to switch to multi-BIOS, since the other one seems corrupted. But I'm not a hardware expert, so I can't give more details.

Besides the unironic deja vu, yes.

Since I'm not a native English speaker, can you please explain this better to me? I was not ironic to you and I hope you don't imply something about me with that.

No worries; it’s colloquial. Are you familiar with the term eye roll? When someone rolls their eyes? And it’s essentially a double negative in which me saying it’s unironic is affirming that there might be some irony.

So when you almost verbatim say the same thing that the guy from Bleeping computer did even after reading the thread, that was ironic to me. It by no means is a jab or a complaint, but more of a jest or an eye roll.

I hope that made sense haha.

The guy redirecting you at Bleeping Computer is here too. :-)

DR M has been trying to help, but you misled him when claiming a home network when it's actually a business. ("It’s my home network but i’ve had to fortify it like a business.") He's aware of that now.
