high dpc latency with my new computer

Hi again .... I can't remember if you have an OEM version of Windows 10 Pro on your new machine .... if you do, you might have "downgrade rights" to Windows 8.1 as well as 7 (8.1 might be more driver-compatible with your newer components)
Downgrade rights for Windows 1 – licensing how-to - Windows 1 - Spiceworks

I'll have a look when your new files come in. In the meantime, watch for any patterns for the audio/video troubles: do they happen only during certain games? or after the PC has been on for a certain length of time? or when certain activity is happening at the same time (even if in the background)? etc.

Cheers

dpc latency is about 500um on normal condition and even idle since booted
and sometimes it pops when pc is on high stress

Hi again .... sorry for the delay - lots going on!

Thanks for the latest files.

Error logs
Wow. Truly amazing amount of errors to be generated over just three days! Either your system is seriously misconfigured, has faulty hardware, or has devices connected that are incompatible with Windows 10.

I'd recommended thorough diagnostics earlier. If you haven't run them yet, you should test things soon.

Critical Error
On Friday (the 24th) at 3:06 A.M. GMT your system had a fatal error linked to the mmcss.sys driver ("Multimedia Class Scheduler Service"). The error was the IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL error. Yours is the first system I've seen with that file involved in a Blue Screen error. I haven't seen any reliable repair suggestions yet for this particular error. But I can look later on in the week (very busy at the moment).

DPC Latency Checker
Please uninstall this program. It is not compatible with Windows 10 (the last operating system officially supported for that program was Vista). It is loading a driver at startup. You don't want that running. (The driver was in the list of those loading and running at startup).

Networking Errors
Can't say for sure if it is a misconfiguration problem, driver issue, or hardware issue, but you are having all sorts of network-related errors. I'll guess that you only use your "Killer E2400 Gigabit Ethernet" wired adapter, as I didn't see any wireless in the list. If the drivers aren't current, bring them up to date. If no Windows 10 compliant drivers are available, try another adapter (& disable the "Killer" if it doesn't behave).

Almost anything related to networking was getting errors: you have WinSock errors (been a while since I've seen any of those), MS Edge was generating repeating errors over & over - mostly the mscvrt.dll and iertutil.dll modules, OneDrive errors, Windows Updates errors ... basically anything connected to networking was generating errors.

By the way: if you don't plan on using OneDrive, you'll need to stop it by changing some settings, and disabling it's two "setup" startup progams. On your system, in fact, you have three OneDrive processes attempting to run at startup, and mostly excelling at creating errors.
Turn off or uninstall OneDrive - OneDrive

USB for Android driver
If you look in your error logs, you'll notice Event IDs 10116 and 10110, happening over and over, and which mention a "user-mode driver crash" and "device MTP USB". This may well be linked to a smartphone, possibly a "Pantech Vega No. 6", or IM-A460K. Windows 10 appears to try to install a driver for the phone, it crashes, and the cycle repeats and repeats... This isn't helping things.

ASMedia USB 3.1 Hub Service & ASMedia XHCI Service
The ASMedia USB drivers have been known to cause trouble in Windows 10 systems. You have both the ASMedia USB 3.1 and the ASMedia XHCI loading and running at system startup. Try uninstalling these, and using generics instead. Or, if the drivers have updated versions newer than those in your current installation, you can try that, too.

MSI Utilities
For now, try completely uninstalling them & doing without them entirely. The worst error producers are the MSI Live Update and the MSI Gaming App.

Catalyst Drivers
Not sure that these installed correctly. Their "InstallManagerApp" module is generating errors in the background.

I'm guessing you built your computer yourself. Make sure that all the BIOS/UEFI settings are OK, and check that ALL of your hardware is Windows 10 compliant. [Especially if you have a USB audio controller ... I think at some point you mentioned a dac....] USB problems with latencies and interrupts are common enough. Better to replace a dac than to suffer forever with audio artifacts.

....it's a bit late here ... I'll check back later on this week -- good luck!

omfg.... edge crashed when I was almost finishing reply..... :p (auto saved but only the early part....:thud:)
I have to do it naw... (especially msi utilities)

Networking Errors
killerlan 2400 is hardware based latency optimizing chipset not like useless remarked literally sh**ty killerlan 2200(it was a nightmare...)
so I can't disable its optimizing tech :(
I've installed its minimal driver but still had latency issues
and now I'm using latest driver which released on this month

onedrive...

I forgot to disable this useless function after reinstall OS. thx
too slow speed on my country... because MS havn't assigned the cache server for it on any ISP's data center on Korea... but MS have data servers in Korea..... what the........:confused2: ..what a nonsense....

USB for Android driver
it was a phone's problem
just don't mind about it
it'll be a okay:smile9:

ASMedia USB 3.1 Hub Service & ASMedia XHCI Service
I tried that solution already... but didn't work :(
i'm using latest driver and finding its newer firmware but there are only firmwares for asus mother board

MSI Utilities
Oh my.......I didn't even expected that those programs have a problem........
I'm gonna uninstall them.... RIGHT NOW...

Catalyst Drivers
I was trying to install latest gpu driver and suddenly dumb windows auto update interrupt it and install the latest WHQL certified driver....DERP!
That must be this above one

BIOS is up to date, my dac tested on many other win10 systems (as I told you once previously) and NI forum and support team said it's okay on win10
, and it tested my PC without it and its driver and the problems didn't go away :(

Thank you so much for your help again!
(and really sorry for my awful English skill...:frown6:)

Few thing was done
It's way better
Now Not that glitch on the playing video, web surfing, etc...
But it's still a work in progress though

well.... wow.....
um......
some news here...and....
um....
i just checked the killerlan offical site and found latest beta driver
and i just installed it just for an experiment

now... my pc works fine

(when normal timer res (1.0ms) ) latency is only from 14 to 50 um (sometimes it pops to 300 um... well but it's a acceptable value)

I really appreciate everything you've done for me so far

p.s.
Could u check my system event only once more?
If you could do that, I’d appreciate it.
I'll post it about 2 days later for more accurate test
who knows...some errors still there

p.s.2
killerlan again.. :lolg:
Why do I not have a surprised feeling about it? :noidea:

That's very interesting that fixed it! Because I know the ethernet comes up always as the DPC error.
But I won't install the SUITE package as thats a big cause of latency itself. The e2200 "killer" lan actually chokes internet and makes it slower especially when watching Netflix.
But yea, your e2400 works differently

well.... wow.....

If the network issues continue, and a decent replacement alternative can be had for a small amount of money .... might be worth it just to try a different adapter.

We'll see ... glad that at least some things are working better.

I reinstalled win8.1 now because win10 keep occurring bunch of errors and have a license problem
Its avg. dpc latency is about 40um
But it's still unstable for some reason
I won't bother you for a while (till i figure about this) (I contacted to the hardware company. it's going to take some time for them to reply.)
Thank you for your reply again

Hope it works out OK. You worked hard and made some impressive progress. As you probably noticed: in the absence of any faulty hardware, audio/video issues are often driver issues (sometimes operating system and third-party background tasks can cause a few headaches too ...).

Many of the things that worked for you in Windows 10 might help in Windows 8.1, too (the big surge in background activity by operating system utilities and apps started with 8.1 ... much of the nonsense coming from the "Universal" apps, which tend to chew up more resources than they should).

Since you've upgraded already to Windows 10, that "digital entitlement" to Windows 10 should be good for the life of that hardware. Should you wish to try Windows 10 again in the future, you should be able to, without having to pay anything extra.

Best of luck!
