Hi Snow,

This is going to be rather tricky to track this corruption down. Please run the following:

  1. Please go Here and download Process Monitor -> Save the file to your desktop.
  2. Double click on Process Monitor -> Press Yes on the UAC -> you should now have a Filter box appeared press Ok
  3. Now click on File -> Capture Events (make sure this is ticked)
  4. Run SFC /SCANNOW, once the scan has finished/failed please continue.
  5. Go back into Process Monitor. Click on File -> Save -> save the file to your desktop.
  6. Now go to your desktop and you should see a file called Logfile.pml -> please but it in a Zip file -> and upload it for me to have a read. As the file is going to be quite big please use Dropbox or One Drive

Hi Snow,

The bitflip is the same one that we already repaired, which is strange.

  1. Right click on the
    aa922834-ed43-40f1-8830-d5507badb56c_39.jpg
    button
  2. Click on Command prompt (Admin) => Press Yes on the prompt
  3. Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following commands, one by one:
    Code:
    reg load HKLM\COMPONENTS %windir%\System32\config\COMPONENTS
    REG QUERY HKLM\COMPONENTS\DerivedData\Components\amd64_microsoft-windows-d..mnotificationbroker_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.10240.16384_none_cfb509ca815ee82 >1&&notepad 1
  4. A notepad file will appear, please post the contents into this thread

Also its good to point out that often seeing Bitflips in the registry is a sign that your memory might be on the way out.

Please follow the instructions for MemTest86+, for atleast 10 passes. Let me know the results.

Hey Go The Power,

I have no idea why but I ran both bits of code and the first worked but the second didnt find anything and gave an error.

Also with memtest do i need to test the modules one by one or is there a way to test all of them at the same time?

Thanks again for all the help,
Snow

Hello Snow,

The fixes seemed to go through fine, based on the output of SFCFix. Which is the odd part, I can see you completed the instructions as I requested :)

As for MEMTEST you should be able to do them at the same time, it has been about a year since I have done it personally but I am pretty sure I tested my RAM at the same time.
