[SOLVED] KB5012599 failing with error 0x80070005

Thanks for all the fix batches. SFC returned no errors but the update failed again. Please find CBS.log attached. I wonder where are these education files coming from? This is Dell Laptop with pre-installed Home version.

Looks like another driver installation issue. Could you please provide the setupapi.dev.log? It's probably best to do this with every update failure.
 
Hi xBlueRobot. I have used windows update and upgraded my system to version 21H2. I hope the errors are gone for good.

Glad you've been able to update to the newer build, you should hopefully have no other problems now.
 
We might as well continue with the same thread, could you please provide the latest CBS log?

It appears to the same issue as last time but with a different package. Have you changed any ownership permissions or have any security suites running such as BitDefender?

SFCFixScript.txt
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.
  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Download the attached file, SFCFixScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFixScript.txt - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFixScript.txt.
  5. Drag the file SFCFixScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a log should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.[/list]

Could you please run the attached SFCFix script? Afterwards, please attempt to update again, if it fails then please provide both the CBS log and the setupapi.dev.log.
