My Several Month Office Remodel

A Couple of things.

I have a new job and will be going on my vacation in 5 weeks from the end of October.

This also means my other projects can pick the pace up.

That is good, all four projects have to be done by 12/31/14.

Anthony,
If it's done by 12/31/14 you will have to upgrade nearly everything! Are you in a hurry?
Send all working parts my way( former Minnesotan) as I will keep it warm and snuggly!
Dennis

Finally! I have some time to update the thread with my new layout!

Here is the old layout of the desks.

Dusty Much!

After cleaning the glass down, I know there's still dust specks, I have that much dust in the air that a new coat will lay after wiping the old layer, also my cloths are not lint free.

After repairing some bolts in the desk, time to get the show on the road!

I had to take this picture, showing what will be left of the old layout.

This is one very dirty netbook!

Everything has started to move around.

The glass desk is moving into its final location, the wood desk finally got turned and is moving towards it's final location. (As for the folding chair, I had to sit down and think things over for a moment.)

The bed is finally starting it's forward march!

Just another angle:

Almost done moving the bed, and moving other pieces into place.

Another angle, taking the picture from the wood desk's final location.

Almost there!

Cables! Yay!

The desks in their new home!

My mom laughs at this one: (I strapped the hardware down to the shelf.)

Final location layout:

Yay! Everything is turned on!

Bed in final location.

The office chair is back!

"The hallway" and my vacuum

My filing cabinet in it's final location, also the shadow was because my finger was in the way of the flash.

On an additional note, my monitors are spaced a little more apart so I can access the optical drive. For all practical sense you notice the first bay on my new tower stands just high enough to clear my monitor.
That was a close call by far!
Also, as noted before, I'm picking up another monitor to go dual monitor. In the grand scheme of things there will be so many displays on this desk that you might as well just call it the screen wall.

Ok, Anthony, inquiring minds want to know why you continually leave out this view.

(I've been saving this for your latest remodel.)

Corrine, please stay out of my office at school. No one is supposed to know what my office remodel looks like. :p

Ok So I've redesigned my main desk a bit.

I've added another TV, hooked my 360 up to it, I did away with the netbook.

I got a new mouse and a blu-ray player! (Still being shipped).

My mom got me a DVR. I've moved some stuff around. I cleaned up my desk big time.

Let me tell all of you something. The more I work on this project the more I feel like I'm realizing my dreams.

Also I'm planning a wii sometime soon :)

Considering that you show your location as MN, a tornado wouldn't be out of the ordinary. ;)

Corrine,
A year after I went into the Air Force my mom and her sister's moved from Minnesota to California.
Tornado came through our home town, Tracy, and leveled the house we used to live in.

A year after I served my 4 years a tornado came through and wiped out part of the base I was stationed at including the hospital where I worked.
I have a feeling tornado's and I are not the best of friends.
Dennis

Yipes! Dennis, should you move fro where you live now, please warn the community because, no doubt, they are in trouble!

Corrine,
You won't believe this either... When we moved into our new home December of 2003 I got a rare picture of a tornado off in the distance(30 miles away)headed our way. In California we don't get very many but since
moving in there have been 3-4 tornado's close by. Thinking of moving into your neighborhood just to see if tornado's are attracted to me.
Any homes for sale close by where you live? hehehe
Dennis

Anthony, please do me a favor and send all Minnesota tornadoes to Dennis' neighborhood in California. :hysterical:
