2. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).

Manually Delete Registry Key
1. Click your Start button and type regedit in the search box.
2. Right-click on regedit.exe that comes up in the search results and select Run as administrator. Answer Yes to the UAC prompt.
3. The registry editor will open which is a window divided vertically into two panes. Make sure you scroll all the way to the top of the screen and click any black downward pointing arrows so that they turn white and all the keys are collapsed. It should look similar to the following.

4. Now click the arrow next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and it will expand all the subkeys beneath it.
5. Scroll down and find the subkey named SOFTWARE and expand that. Continue expanding the following ones Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SideBySide
6. Beneath Component Based Servicing you should see a key named Winners
7. Right-click on the key named Winners and select Permissions...
8. On the Permissions dialog click the Advanced button.
9. Click the Owner tab on the Advanced Security Settings dialog.
10. Click the Other users or groups... button
11. Type Everyone in the text box and click OK.
12. Check the box "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects".
13. Click the Permissions tab again and uncheck "Include inheritable permissions from this object's parent".
14. If prompted with a Windows Security warning with Add and Remove buttons, click Add.
15. Click OK to close the Advanced Security Settings dialog.
16. Make sure the Everyone group is selected in the Permissions dialog and ensure that the checkbox for Full Control under the Allow column is checked. Click OK.
17. Now, right click on the amd64_microsoft-windows-ehome-ehtrace_31bf3856ad364e35_none_4c46358cd018277 key and select Delete. Answer Yes to the confirm dialog.

There's a dialog shown when I do step 15, that it couldn't set owner to the key or some of the subkeys.
So I clicked okay at the dialog and proceed to delete the key, but it displays the same error.

Also I can't find "Component Based Servicing" as stated in step 6, it's the Winners key after SideBySide.

And at step 16, there was no Everyone group the first time, I had to manually add it.

Re: "No updates are installed on this computer" and "sfc.exe /scannow" doesn't work

Have you ever tested the memory in the machine?

I tested them with Windows Memory Diagnostic and there's no error in the result,
but I've never tried other memory testing tool such as MemTest86.

Re: "No updates are installed on this computer" and "sfc.exe /scannow" doesn't work

Please test the RAM with Memtest86 before we continue and make sure you test it one stick at a time, eight passes per stick.
