[SOLVED] Problems with Cumulative Updates on Hyper-V Server 2019

Hi,

Here's the next fix, please use the same command for the following SFCFixScript.txt.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.

Afterwards attempt to update again. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS logs and the Setupapi.dev.log.

Edit:
I think the previous fix failed, can you please post the result of SFCFix?

Please run the following command and post the result:
Code:
dir /s /a %systemroot%\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\monitor.inf_amd64_2adf518dc905cb24

Here it is:

Verzeichnis von C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\monitor.inf_amd64_2adf518dc905cb24

18.11.2023 12:02 <DIR> .
18.11.2023 12:02 <DIR> ..
10.07.2020 20:15 790.440 monitor.inf'
1 Datei(en), 790.440 Bytes

In the previous script I made a stupid mistake and copied a quote sign.... Please run the attached script.

Got a failure on this one.

Verzeichnis von C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\monitor.inf_amd64_2adf518dc905cb24

18.11.2023 13:14 <DIR> .
18.11.2023 13:14 <DIR> ..
10.07.2020 20:15 790.440 monitor.inf
10.07.2020 20:15 790.440 monitor.inf'
2 Datei(en), 1.580.880 Bytes

Shall I delete them manually?

You can delete them manualy, or use the following fix which will delete the entire folder and rebuild it again.

Deleted them manually (had give to the right "Change" to everybody for the files).

Now it looks like that:
Verzeichnis von C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\monitor.inf_amd64_2adf518dc905cb24

18.11.2023 13:31 <DIR> .
18.11.2023 13:31 <DIR> ..
10.07.2020 20:15 790.440 monitor.inf
1 Datei(en), 790.440 Bytes

Reboot and a new try of updates?

That will take some time.

Can't connect to the Hyper-V with Windows Admin Center.
I don't know what's wrong, but I don't update or restart it, till I know what happened.

So, solved the problems at the end.
Password expired, even though there was "no expiration" configured. Some other strange things also happened, like winrm - remote-config was lost...

And the end, the updates went through also.

So thank you very much for your engagement and your patience.
Will donate a little bit.

Greetings!

P.S.: Erfolgreich means succesful.
