[SOLVED] Questions about Windows, scanners, etc

Found out there’s a GPU driver update too, so I’ll have to download that.
Still unsure about the Windows Back Up thing, and if the security centre icon is anything to worry about.
I hope nothing was messed up from me updating stuff.

No idea what’s going on. For some reason Edge launched in task manager after the first boot of the day, but went away shortly after. Edge update also started up again randomly after I launched my PC again just now, but it also went away shortly compared to the time it lasts when it starts up on the first boot of the day.
decided to run a safety scanner scan and it found nothing.

Badram, you give attention to things that actually don't matter, and have nothing to do with your computer's security. And running Microsoft Safety Scanner all the time is completely unnecessary, since you have Windows Defender doing its job in real time, without any obvious issue.

I will ask you to give us FRST logs. I'm going to check them for you. We will do some maintenance, if needed, and then you must trust us and stop seeing everything as something bad and not normal. I hope you understand that a topic can't be opened for ever. It's not helpful for anyone. Is that OK with you?

That’s fine with me, I’ll try to upload them within the hour.
I was going to ask, but can FRST tell if anything has been installed or modified recently?
I ask, because I started running another safety scan at 7:35pm, and I left my room to do something shortly after. I live with family, so I got worried that someone mightve touched something while I was gone (someone has done this before on my old computer while it was powered on while I was away, but this was years ago) The safety scan wasn’t interrupted it seems, since it was still running when I came back, but I’m just worried since someone has tried to mess with me before, and it made me really upset.

Deleted. Double posting.

Just post the FRST logs. Yes, they can tell us everything we need.

Since it is late now where I live (almost 11 p.m.), I'll review your logs tomorrow.

Apologies, I would’ve uploaded them earlier, but I was busy all day and just got home now

If you’re available, I can try post them tomorrow after I get home (hopefully I get home earlier)

I would like you to post them now, so I can have time to review them tomorrow. Logs take time to be reviewed. It's not "a few minutes job".

Sorry if I came off as impatient, I’m aware that it takes a long time to look at logs and I do appreciate it. I turn my PC off when I’m not using it, and I have some second guesses about things after I power off my PC after taking logs, like if things like my browser were closed when I shut it down, and if it shut down correctly, etc.

DR M will review your logs tomorrow. As to shutting down, it doesn't matter if you had closed your browser first or not. The process of shutting down will close all open programs.

So there’s no fixes to run or anything? There was nothing downloaded or installed on the 14th?
I just got easily concerned, since things occur, and I don’t know if they’re normal or not. Like this will appear, sometimes multiple instances of it, so I get concerned. I probably shouldn’t check the logs myself because there’s errors there I don’t understand
also, sorry for not replying earlier, I never got an email about your post for some reason.
Thank you for the assistance

So there’s no fixes to run or anything?

Nothing at all and this is great!!! :-)

That's why it is time to remove FRST: please rename it to Uninstal.exe and double click on it.

It's time to have some fun with your computer now.

Thank you
i was really worried that someone might’ve messed with my computer while I was away from it on Thursday.

Not at all, Badram.

As we agreed yesterday, now it's time to close this topic, since there is nothing to be resolved. Everything is fine.

I really wish you all the best.
