Please provide a copy of the following folder: C:\Windows\System32\config\TxR
 
Folder is empty to the naked eye. Using WinRAR shows me the files inside of it though.

Please run the attached Fixlist with FRST and post the result.

  • Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".

  • Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.

  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFixScript.txt and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFixScript.txt file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Please try to delete those files manually, another option would be to delete them from safe mode.
 
I've gone through and deleted these multiple times at this point during the course of this thread. Do you know what might be causing this loop?
 
No, I have no clear explanation for this odd issue!

Normally, it should be possible to delete those (transaction) files...But TxR.0 seems to be a ghost file, since it was not overwritten.
