Hi,

Upload your DRIVERS Hive
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\config and locate the DRIVERS file.
  • Please copy this file to your desktop.
  • Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
  • Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named DRIVERS.ZIP on your desktop.
  • If the file is too large to upload here, upload the file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.

Please run the following script to look at usbaudio2.inf.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFixScript.txt and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFixScript.txt file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Do you have a similar server 2019 running? If so could you please post a copy of the COMPONENTS hive from that one.

Open an elevated command prompt and run the follwoing command. Copy and paste the result in your next post.
Code:
fsutil hardlink create C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\usbaudio2.inf_amd64_3e0646bbacd51a3d\usbaudio2.inf C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_dual_usbaudio2.inf_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.17763.592_none_d128a5b61462af61\usbaudio2.inf

This is what I was expecting, and I have some bad news, because the drivers subkey is damaged beyond repair. A lot of keys and values are missing, so I would suggest to rebuild this server. This is the safest way to resolve all the issues.

No problem, unfortunately I see no option to fix this properly. Good luck with rebuilding the server. (y)
