Malwarebytes won't install. When I try, I get the expected splash screens but when I accept the install, it sits for about 30 seconds and then disappears without an error message.
Cleanup seemed to run fine. REboot and it started the Installer. No good. Then did the repair including all options. Automatic reboot each time. Again, Installation program starts, but waits about 30 seconds and disappears.

Run a scan with AdwCleaner.
When the program hangs, close it.
Attach the file C:\AdwCleaner\Logs\AdwCleaner_Debug.log to your next reply.
Might be tomorrow before I can get to this. Meanwhile, SFC now reports not finding any integrity violations. I still can't load stuff, but it's an improvement.
Hopefully, this might help. Looking at your last script, I decided to try installing Malwarebytes again. The Scanner (a stand-alone .exe) still doesn't load, but the Malwarebytes Trial Software "package" Installer (MB4-setup-consumer...) ran fine, seems to have installed the suite and even updated itself. Trying to run it, I get a popup error "PROGRAM_ERROR_UPDATING (0, 0, Host not found).
