copy paste to search field didn't work (nothing happened, also no txt file on desktop , even after pressing F5), I had to open cmd first and paste the line therein.

the scannow resulted in no errors, will give it a try to start pc after i put it in sleep. and also try to start system restor. See if it takes 3 minutes ... .

After I run the fix and run scannow an posted it here i tested system restore and wakening pc after it sleeps before rebooting the pc:

system restore starts within 5 seconds, so no 3 minutes waiting anymore. ( Only when I rebooted the pc, it took 2 minutes to start (probaly becaue the system is still booting up) but I tried it again, and started within 5s econds).

wake up after sleep: still 3 minutes, this time the monitorscreen doesnt go on (standb mode), until after 3 min 09 sec everything (screen , mouse and keyboard) works. After reboot pc: screen immediatelly shows but took 3 minutes before mouse and keyboard works.

Maybe I can update mouse and keyboard drivers??

I followed the step in a thread on this website about how to do a recovery install or clean install of OS. it was advised to install the drivers that are on the website of pacakard bell (that is the pc I have), and not to install the drivers from the devices website (for instance nvidia dot com for videodriver).

If I go to packard bell site, I do find a videodriver, with newer version number then the one installed, but if I install it it says:

Display driver for the monitor ((windows vista 64 bit)

it could not find a driver that is compatible with your current hardware. ... .

(translated).

Is it possible this driver is not for the videocard but for the monitor? it 's true I'm uwing another monitor.

This is the pc iMedia (PT.U22-PV.U22) Support Download

select windwos vista 64 bit as this is the current (and original) OS installed.

But because packard bell has no recent driver of the videocard, I gave it a try to download from nvidia:
Installed latest video driver but did not solve the problem.

I am really not sure here, sorry. If you post all this information in your other thread I will contact some experts to take a look :)

I followed the steps, altouh when I enter the command, I don't receive a message that says that it worked. then rebooted the pc, then typed the other command, the website you send me too, doesnt say to reboot again, but I did reboot again.

test out if the pc wakes up fast: same result: 3 min 11 seconds. deskop is showing, but if I hit start button, nothing happens. If i select a icon on the desktop, I can select it, I can select another icon, but once I double click, I can't anymore select anything. After 3 min 11sec, suddenly everything goes open (start button, folder I double selected) and internet connection is active (I saw on teamviewer on other pc that the pc came online, although I tried it several times before, I saw the pc immediately in teamviewer on the other pc, once I started the pc. But I could'nt make a connection untill the 3 minutes were past).

I cannot believe myself. I went to search your words (hibernation) on the internet ( after hibernation slow wake up) and I found an article speaking abou tthe S1 and S3 and S1S3 options in bios.

Bios was sat S3(srt), I just changed it to S1(pos) and now sleepmode works great :-) and hibernation works great :-)

I'm happy this helped.

Anywya, I really , really are you all thankfull for the help you provided , now I'm sure the system is 100% errorfree.

Thank a lot.

ADDED: If I go to control panel to energy settings, I can see in sleepmode several options, one of them is 'allow hybride sleepmode : disbabled'

This option is not anymore available after I changed S3 to S1 in BIOS.

Digerati told me to choose hybride sleepmode in post nr 6 in this tread:

delay for opening systemrestore is back, it was solved, but I opened it today it took 4 minutes to display.

run sfc scannow, no errors found.

Can I do something else?
