1. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
2. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
3. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.

the checking for updates stop with this message windows could not search for new updates c8000266. Do you think something is wrong in the catroot and software distribution folders?

As I understand it (from our PM) you have done a factory reset. As mentioned, after all updates are installed let me know how your CPU activity is. Thanks.

Thanks Brian you are on top of your game what a great follow up. All the updates have been installed and my cpu has settlle back down to 2% and 3% when the computer is idle and many times when i am running other programs the cpu is still low. I am a sales trainer and i teach people how to sell and customer service and i can clearly see that you are customer focus and customer sensitive these characteristic makes fantastic business people and sales people and you have it.

No problem. I'm glad it's back down. When more updates are published, don't be surprised if it kicks back up until they are installed. Take care.
