sfc /scannow found corrupt files (Windows 8.1)

Thanks, it seems to have run, there were no error messages on the command prompt screen.

It returned to the C:\windows\system32> prompt with no other message.

I haven't restarted my PC yet.

Hi FrankyMole

It's been more than 48hours since we heard from you. Do you still require assistance?

Please run the SFC scan again as per post #24 and attach the CBS.log

Thanks

Hello! Thank you for your assistance so far. I will run a new sfc scannow, shortly - I have just started a new job doing postal deliveries so my hours are a bit crazy, but will try to get it done a.s.a.p today between my new job setting-up chores like bank stuff and uniform-ordering... should I post a new log link here, or just mention any exception and error messages that appear?

I hope this attached okay.

The Command Prompt (after the scan) read "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\.CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.Log. Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios."

Hi Frankymole

Please run another SFC scan and post the results.

SFC Scan

1. To open an elevated command prompt, use the Windows+X keyboard combination.
2. From the menu returned, click on Command Prompt (Admin). Accept any UAC prompts.
3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, press enter

sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

4. copy and paste %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
5. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please zip/upload to this thread.
Please Note:: if the file is too big (over 7MB) to upload to your next post, please upload to SendSpace and just provide the link here.

It made a log but I get "access is denied" when I try to zip it, or even open it. When I try to attach it here it tells me I have to be given administrator permission on my PC.

Very hard to understand why it's done this - I opened the Command Prompt using Windows + X as you instructed.

I opened it in Word (opened with admin permissions) using Unicode 8, and re-saved it.View attachment CBS-unicode8.rar

Ok

Please Navigate to C:\Windows\Logs\CBS. Copy your CBS.log to the Desktop, zip it and attach it.

Please do the following
