This is puzzling..
Please go and navigate to C:\Windows\winsxs and copy any files with a similar name to pending.xml (e.g. pending.xml, pending.xml.bad, pending.xml_dfsadf78 etc.) to your folder on the Desktop [there may not be any, just if there are]. Then zip up this folder and attach it to your next post.

- Click on Command prompt (Admin) => Press Yes on the prompt
- Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following command

REG QUERY HKLM\COMPONENTS >1&¬epad 1

- Right click on the Start button and select Run as administrator
- When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each
chkdsk /f
- Reboot
- Download ListChkdskResult.exe (by SleepyDude) from Here
- Double click on it to run it. It will take a few seconds to scan, then it will open a Notepad window with the log. Copy and paste the contents of this into your next post please!

Sorry, but i get a "there is no scribt engine for file extension ".vbe" when i try to run ListChkdskResult.exe
I even tried in a elevated cmd.
the chkdsk /f ran without any problems.

Yep that's clean.
There was a mention earlier on about some old transactions that could not be deleted. We will try and clear those out to see if this is what was causing the issue.

Some of the files could not be deleted as the file is marked as in use. We will have to try and delete these from the recovery environment.
Boot into the Windows RE mode: How to use the Windows 7 System Recovery Environment Command Prompt
Once the command Window is displayed please follow the below steps.
First command to enter is wmic logicaldisk get name. you will be given a similar output to:
Now when you are in the RE the drive letters will often move around. start with the first letter that was provided in the list and enter in the following command (for this example we will use C:\ as it is the first one)
dir C:\
-This will display all the folders in the root drive of C
Can you see a folder called C:\Windows in list?
-If you can see C:\Windows then run the following command as del C:\Windows\System32\Config\TxR\*
If you can not see the Windows folder move onto the next Drive letter that we obtained with wmic logicaldisk get name and type in dir <DRIVE LETTER> (replace <DRIVE LETTER> with the drive you would like to check), can you see the Windows Folder?
-If yes, enter in the following command del C:\Windows\System32\Config\TxR\* and changed the C to what ever Drive letter has the Windows folder
Its just a case of going through each drive letter that was produced from the first list until the Windows folder is found then run the command on that drive.

After running the commands in windows RE, i'm getting this, in the elevated cmd in "normal" windows.
But i can see
regtrans-ms
and
.blf
When i go in to system32\config\txr
So I dont no why the command line can't find it.

What happened in the recovery environment? It should of cleared out all those files then.
