Memtest still running 372 CPU errors this far. Curious note - memtest says "CPUs found 12; CPUs started 6; CPUs active 6" Can't look up the implications of this , any meaning to you?

In addition, errors only occur on even numbered CPUs.

If there are errors, I would advise you to replace the faulty part with a new one.

I do not think it-s the CPU, but your RAM/RAM slot on the motherboard.

YES - It was one of my DIMM's that was bad and was causing me software/hardware problems since last November!!!

Where it showed up
- Couldn't update Windows
- Tons of "Aw Snap's" in Chrome
- BSOD's
- Increased problems after attaching a Graphics card
- slow/erratic startup behavior

I've now installed 2 new DIMM's and re-installed my graphics card.

System appears to be running very smoothly (and fast)
