I purchased this laptop from E-Bay in 2012 right before i went to work at Microsoft for a contract role. Microsoft overwrote my original windows operating system with an OS image that they used for all contractors. After the project in 2013, I could not revert to my original operating system since i had not first made a backup of my OS. In 2018 my OS was hit by a virus and hackers. My drive has never failed that i am aware, but what is failing since 2018 is windows update, which recursively says failing configuration upon rebooting after windows update. I have backed up regularly for the last several years the OS & all Data using Acronis.
