also there was a sequence of 1sec with distortion at the start of the test... and that's all.
after that, the sound was fine for listening with no major issues.
now i just want to know if there is some issue in the file!?

As per the information below, could you please try installing the latest Synaptics driver?

i lost couple of hours trying to install the driver you suggested (Synaptics 17.0.19) but unfortunately it didn't work out. I was reading a lot of forums and i found that a lot of users are having difficulties installing this version of driver.

i can install only the driver which is from Dell and this is the version:

OK, thanks.

I will look into the trace again later to see if there's anything else suspicious. Meanwhile, could your please make sure you have all the latest drivers for your laptop from here?

In addition, if you try to disable your Synaptics device in Device Manager, does the issue persists?

i had some difficulties while uninstalling the Synaptics driver... after that everything is the same with the sound.
and i am having/using all the drivers installed from the Dell site... using my service tag number in the web form which you linked above.

Do you think you could get one more XPERF trace (please make sure you're playing audio and experiencing glitches at that time)?

here is another XPERF trace.
https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=E7B22132F1E657A1!212&authkey=!AF_eQ_HKW_VM6Ow&ithint=file,.etl

now I was using [foobar2000] player instead of winamp... i don't know is this some kind of useful information and probably that is visible in the trace.
while listening i did not hear some distortion like earlier... even on the start of the trace.

If you haven't heard any distortions, the trace won't help us much, as it means there are no issues.

agreed @ThomasD... but what seems to be the problem!?

now i am running my OS only with Windows Defender + Malwarebytes as i removed Avast earlier as you suggest... i just want to install some antivirus just in case to be safe.

if Avast was a problem for distortion, now i have to replace with some other antivirus and the big question is what to choose!?

As I said in some other topic, it doesn't really matters what LatencyMon shows - if you do NOT experience any audio glitches, lag, crashes, it means we are good.

Having Windows Defender running in the background and having Malwarebytes installed manual for time-to-time scans, should be just fine.

@ThomasD thank you for your attention and considering my situation all the time through this thread...

I will continue using Microsoft Defender + Malwarebytes and I hope that will be enough safety for my laptop.

ps - still there is no big issues while listening some audio...
