[SOLVED] Sysnative jcgriff2 BSOD File Collection app problem

Fixing computers has been my job for the past 9 years, thus I know how to stay clean while surfing the web, downloading soft, etc... the problem is my family... this computer is used by them and they know nothing but facebook...
My real concern is the following:
Why all my client's computers work perfectly with i.e. Avast... all this years installing it with absolutely no problem... but MY PC doesn't!!!! could it be due to an old chipset? (my mobo is Asus crosshair, first version). Perhaps Avast and ESET use techniques not succesfully implemented in the SATA drivers of this chipset... I'm guessing, I would like to hear your opinion on this.

Greetings from a thankful argentinian

Good to hear you at least know proper prevention methods! Time to teach the family :~)

Regarding why avast!, etc, won't work with your system, I honestly cannot answer that. There's clearly something on your system specifically that causes conflicts. For example, I see antivirus suites conflict with things often like wireless/network adapters (USB), backup software, encryption software, etc. Lots of possibilities. You'll need to do some troubleshooting if you really want to use avast! that much.

Regards,

Patrick
