Thinking of adding another monitor...

That is quite an interesting field. What type of jobs will you be looking at?

If I have enough money for it, I aim to do a masters and go onto a PHD. The current plan anyway, everything may change. What is it you study/want to do? Can never remember how it works on your side of the pond.

@someguy201: I am sure that you already know this, but just to make sure, there is an incedibly useful keyboard shortcut for Windows 7 for this. In Vista, every time I wanted to start a game, I had to go to my desktop, properties, disable my second monitor, click OK several time, and on the other way around it was even worse (desktop, properties, enable, drag screen to left, change resolution, lose desktop icon placement etc.)

A massive pain. In Windows 7, use Windows Key + P to scroll through different monitor configurations. Massively convenient.

Thanks niemiro and wrench! Very useful to know.

@Wrench, judging by the symbols on my keyboard it's FN + F6 on my Alienware.

Could be, not all brands are the same F keys.

Just looked at our family laptop. It has it on the F1 key, but has the actual F1 function on the FN button. However, it doesn't actually work without some piece of Dell software which I accidentally removed when cleaning all the OEM junk off it. lol.

The price has gone down £10 already, so I've cancelled and re-ordered. Still out of stock though, hopefully it'll get dispatched soon.
