Unable to update to Windows 10.

I have created a Recovery Drive already.

Can you explain the exact steps you used to create a recovery drive? I assume you created this on a USB thumb drive.

Also, can you confirm that all your data is backed up?
 
OK, good. We should skip the Windows 8 restore all together and go directly to Windows 10. You will need a USB thumb drive that can be overwritten.

Plug it in (make sure any others are unplugged) and then download and run the Media Creation Tool. Choose to create a USB install drive.

Great. Now go to Acer's site for your computer model and download the Windows 10 network drivers and save them to the USB drive that you created.
 
I have moved the driver (the zip file from acer's website) to the usb I used to create installation media.
