[SOLVED] Updating 3rd Windows 7 x86 to windows 10 failed on reboot

Try the upgrade again and report the result.
 
Tried to upgrade again same error Windows 10 installation failed . No clean up
 
  1. Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
  2. Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
  3. Press the Fix button.
  4. The tool will now process fixlist.txt.
  5. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  6. When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  7. Attach the logfile Fixlog.txt to your next reply.

Get DiskPart Info
  • Click on Start - All programs - Accessories.
  • Rightclick on Command-prompt and select Run as administrator.
  • When command prompt opens, typ diskpart into it, then press enter.
  • Wait for this to complete.
  • Typ list volume and press enter.
  • Wait for this to complete.
  • Provide a screenshot of the commandprompt window.

Copy and paste following command into the commandprompt window and press enter.
bcdedit /set {bootmgr} description "Windows Boot Manager"

Take a screenshot of the commandprompt window.
- Select the commandprompt window.
- Press Alt-PrintScreen
- Select this thread and press Ctrl+V to paste the screenshot into this thread.

Weird, the bcd setting we made seems to be gone.
Did you reboot the machine between message #49 and #51 ?
 
Yes after every post unit is shut down and rebooted each time a new fix appears.
 
Perform message #49 and #51 again without rebooting the machine.

When completed, copy and paste following command into the same commandprompt window and press enter.
bcdedit

Take a screenshot of the commandprompt window.
- Select the commandprompt window.
- Press Alt-PrintScreen

No. I asked if someone else can have a look but haven't got a response yet.
In the meantime download Download Visual BCD Editor - MajorGeeks
After installation run the tool.
Do not change anything. Provide a screenshot of the main window first.
