Hi!

Please uninstall the following utilities and physically detach the devices if applicable.

Atheros Bluetooth Suite
Dell WLAN and Bluetooth Client Installation
HP Deskjet 3510 series Basic Device Software

Afterwards, run a fresh FRST Scan.

Removed Dell/Atheros bluetooth suite. Tried removing the HP printer software and got attached error.

Removed printer instance and removed printer driver using printui/s.

Also downloaded the driver software from HP and extracted the MSI file. Tried various combinations of repair uninstall and install to no avail.

Also getting this error while running the msi file to remove the HP Printer Software.

Step#1 - FRST Fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Download the attached fixlist.txt and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
5. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

Can you provide more details about what happens?

I run setup from the DVD I burned using the media creation tool. Setup loads and I accept the license agreement. The next part takes about 30 mins. Checking your PC. The page where is a it asks to keep data and programs. I click install. The percentage stops at 77 or 78%.


There is a second issue with new drivers not installing. For example if I add a flash drive, windows detects it however drivers won't install. In device manager, I see flash drive under other devices with no drivers installed.

Last night, after it didn't look like you was going to proceed past 78%, I went to bed and this morning it looks like the computer had restarted.

I just now tried to use the media creation tool and chose the option upgrade this PC now. Now I am only getting a page that says setup is cleaning up before it closes and this may take a few minutes. This page has been there for over an hour.
