Is this date for the next year normal? Is it expected?
That value shouldn't have any effect as it was only used while upgrading to Windows 10.

1. Download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:
32-bit: Downloading Farbar Recovery Scan Tool
64-bit: Downloading Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

2. Right-click to run the tool as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
3. Note: Ensure that the Addition.txt check box is checked at the bottom of the form within the Optional Scan area.
4. Press the Scan button.
5. Please wait for the tool to finish. It will produce two logfiles called FRST.txt and Addition.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should be the desktop)
6. Post the logfiles FRST.txt and Addition.txt as attachment in your next reply.

PeterJ,
I do not know if I should but while was waiting for your answer I tried "check for updates" and updates were installed. Only one accused error.
I hope I did not cause any further problems when I ran "check for updates".

Step 1:
Uninstall following outdated Java programs, the newest version can be downloaded later on:
- Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_06
- Java 2 SDK, SE v1.4.2_06
- Java(TM) 6 Update 29 (64-bit)
- Java(TM) SE Development Kit 6 Update 29 (64-bit)
Reboot the computer.

Step 2:
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Do not run this script on another machine.

1. Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop. The tool FRST64.exe should also be on your desktop.
2. Right-click on FRST64.exe and select "Run as administrator".
3. Press the Fix button.
4. The tool will now process fixlist.txt.
5. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
6. When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
7. Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.

I tried "Java uninstall tool" but it also did not work: FAILLED Java(TM) 6 Update 29 (64-bit)

OK Reboot the computer.

Step 2:
ALL OK

My computer is still restarting in "clean Boot" mode. Is it still necessary? If not, please tell me how to return to "normal mode".

Step 1:
Open the website How to perform a Clean Boot and undo the changes.

Step 2:
Update Java :
Open this web page to download the latest version. Click 'Free Java Download' and then 'Agree and Start Free Download'.
Download the installer jxpiinstall.exe and run it.
Click Install and then Install>.
Warning: You may get a choice to install additional software and/or allow to change your browser settings. Uncheck all that!
If you get a pop-up saying "Out-of-date Java versions detected.", click Uninstall>. This may remove the outdated Java versions.

Step 3:
Reboot the computer and check for Windows Updates.

PeterJ

Step 1:
Ok

Step 2:
I installed Java8 successfully but the process of uninstalling old versions again did not work. Also I have projects in eclipse-indigo that still need this old versions of Java.
01-java8-install-success.png
For the success of the procedure is it really necessary to uninstall java old versions or did you recommend for security reasons?
For the moment, can I keep them?

Step 3:
Anyway, I restarted the computer and executed check and install all the updates (important and recommended).
Apparently had success but it was necessary to restart the computer a few times until no more demanded it.
02-install-updates-success.png

Also I "Change settings" from "Never check for updates" to "Download updates but let me choose wheter to install them".
It is ok?

That value shouldn't have any effect as it was only used while upgrading to Windows 10.

Sorry but I did not understand well.
Can Windows "re-insist" on upgrading to Windows 10?
Can we finally eliminate this possibility?

Thanks

or did you recommend for security reasons?
Yes, I did for security reasons. If you still need the old versions you can keep that or re-install the old Java 2 version.
I would recommend to upgrade those 'eclipse-indigo' projects, if that is possible.

Also I "Change settings" from "Never check for updates" to "Download updates but let me choose wheter to install them".
It is ok?
Yes, it is.

Can Windows "re-insist" on upgrading to Windows 10?
Hard to say. Now you have the option selected "Download updates but let me choose.." you have the choice to unselect that.

Do you still have problems with Windows Updates ?

Ok! I will try as soon as possible

Ok!
I hope it appears as a "update" and not in the interface that was being presented allowing only delay for more than 3 days...
If it reappears, I'll notice it here...

Do you still have problems with Windows Updates ?
NO!!!
I re-installed the old version of java I need for now and ran several times "check for updates" and it worked perfectly!

PeterJ,
Thank you and congratulations on your patience and competence!
As this is my first time in the forum, please tell me how to end the post and, principally, how do I register a public thank to your support?
