[SOLVED] [W7SP1 x64] I need help with at least one corruption (SURT) count.

Re: I need help with at least one corruption (SURT) count.

It worked once. But as like before other times it came back with 'couldn't open folder option' error, in cmd. But I would like to tell you; today being Monday: over the weekend I must have performed an operation at least 5 time's. The fourth time of this operation, your DISM command worked. But I think I must have missed installing kb3181988 once again, and the problem came back, with usHUB.sys.mui . I don't have the dtc runtime error anymore. I have Loaris trojan remov.. and off the bat I found it wanted to remove mctadmin.exe; but I have since,[during recurring operations] _ kept myself from letting that mistake happen again. But that kb3181988 corruption is a icky one!! I'll be sure never, (on this machine), to never download it. Is [FONT=&quot] KB3125574 a foul one too ?? [/FONT]https://youtu.be/RC_5eb9wTfk. <-- This is where I ultimately found a time consuming fix for fixing my repeating sfc scan problems where is can't fix all, then it says it has fixed all: back and forth and never getting a 'Windows has found no integrity violations'.The problem is fixed now. Thanks very much for your encouraging help ,and objectivity zcomputerwhiz ! :thumbsup2: P.S. -> If I get the option of updating with kb3125574 should I stay away from that one too?:startorb:

Re: I need help with at least one corruption (SURT) count.

Glad to hear it's working now.

Please install any updates that are offered by Windows Update :)

Re: I need help with at least one corruption (SURT) count.

Uninstall Update with DISM

  1. Download the update MSU here: Download Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3181988) from Official Microsoft Download Center
  2. Copy the MSU file to a convenient location (such as C:\temp).
  3. Click on the Start
    Start%20Orb.jpg
button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  4. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  5. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    cd C:\temp

replace C:\temp with your path if different

    expand {update name}.msu -f:* C:\temp

replace {update name} with the name of the MSU file downloaded in step 1

    DISM.exe /Online /Remove-Package /PackagePath:C:\temp\{update name}.cab
  6. You should receive the message:
    The operation completed successfully.
Restart Windows to complete this operation.
Do you want to restart the computer now (Y/N)?
  7. Make sure to allow the computer to restart if prompted.

If you receive any other message:
  8. Right-click on the Command Prompt window and click Select All, this will invert all of the colours by selecting the text, now press enter. All of this text is now copied.
  9. Paste (Ctrl+V) it into your next post.
  10. Zip and attach C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

Re: I need help with at least one corruption (SURT) count.

Pls zcomputerwhiz, my problem with usbhub.sys.mui just keeps coming back. And every time I do a install repair the sfc is clean for a short time; but shortly comes back. I tried once again to produce the results from your post above. It worked _ it processed four items from the kb3181988. I'm just confused because I thought this optional update was exactly the fix for usbhub.sys.mui.. I found out kb3181988 helps with usb.ini.resource & usbport.ini.resouce. Regardless, I am just informing you that the commandline steps above worked again this time. Would like to hear from you again, finding where do we go from here. There must be a fix. !

Re: I need help with at least one corruption (SURT) count.

Do not install the optional update, that should avoid the problem. :)
