[SOLVED] We can't tell if your PC has enough space to continue installing Windows 10.

Open command prompt in elevated mode and type:
reagentc /disable (press enter)

then type:

reagentc /setreimage /path \\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk0\partition1\Recovery\WindowsRE (press enter)

Then type:

reagentc /enable )press enter)

You may need to change "harddisk0" to "harddiskX" where X is the number of your "C" drive and "partition1" to partitionX where X is the partition number to conform with your system setup. To check go to Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Storage/Diskmanagment. The disk partitions are numbered from the left of the screen starting with number 1.

Hi again, I'm a little lost, which partition should I be pointing to, if you look at the disk management in post #4 there are 6.

Partition 1 : EFI System Partition
Partition 2 : C:OS
Partition 4 : Recovery
Partition 5 : Recovery
Partition 6 : Data
Partition 7 : Recovery

I think partitions 1,2,6 and 7 were there from the original Win7 installation, so 4 and 5 must have been made by subsequent Win10 upgrades. Is it normal that they all appear to be empty ? (Free Space 100%).

SUCCESS !!!

Thankyou Softwaremaniac, 1709 installed and running, rebuilding the boot record did the trick. Donation made and a virtual beer to yourself
:beerchug2: .

By the way, should I put the BCD attributes and EFI partition Drive letter as they were before or does it not matter ?

That's awesome, Adrian! Thanks for letting me know and thank you very much for the donation! :thumbsup2:
I would leave them as they are right now.

I will mark the thread as solved!

Best,
Mihael
