I'm currently using Google Chrome as my primary browser but may give Firefox Quantum a go once it's fully released.

I use chrome and firefox, because sometimes websites don't work right on chrome. I mostly use FF for you tube, and chrome for main browsing. I like chrome, because it syncs with my Android phone via my google account. Though I think Firefox does basically the same thing, but with a user name and not Google Account.

I may the only member on Sysnative to use a browser offered by SRWare.net. It's called Iron and I use the x64 version. It utilizes the Chromium source code. Primary reason I started using it in 2009 is because Iron, unlike Chrome, does not data mine. I do not have a secondary browser and see no reason that I would ever have one or stop using Iron.

I like the plug-ins & the speed of the New Microsoft Edge Browser! :-) Firefox was my favorite unitil recently..

Google Chrome says "all your base are belong to us" All your base are belong to us - Wikipedia

I am so far down the Google rabbit hole I could never get out. I've tried. The Google ecosystem Chrome, G-mail, Android, Nest, Home-mini's, etc, works for me and works well.

I have been testing the new Chromium based Edge but so far, it's got issues that I can't get around.

over time I'd be curious if the new Edge based on Chromium (aka "Anaheim") starts showing up more. I know I've been using it for awhile now for obvious reasons, but now that it's public it'll be interesting to see how many people want Chrome without the Google stuff attached, and use Edge versus Chrome or Chromium. I'm really curious...

The first problem I ran into with Chromium Edge was not being able to use my gmail account to login. (I tried) No gmail, no sync. I spent a ton of time setting up "my stuff". I have home stuff, work stuff. It would take months to reconfigure it all just so.I simply don't have time to start over.

Since it uses your "Live" or "Microsoft" ID, if you didn't use a gmail account as that, yes, it would probably make it harder to switch. That's what Google intended, to be fair.

I have to laugh at how 3 of my 4 browsers are Chromium based :) But no Chrome for me, lol. Vivaldi is my default browser, best I have found. Opera was my favorite back in the day, but they abandoned us at 12.xx, now on new Opera as well. And now Edge. I have Pale Moon just so I can have a non Chromium browser, lol

I'm so glad Vivaldi is out there (started by Opera Software co-founder), as it is a great browser, and better configurability.

What kind of issues?

I finally laid Internet Explorer to rest and am running Edge Beta on my Windows 8.1 x64 system and love it (except that it has no system sounds, unlike IE).

I've had no problems with Edge whatsoever -- except its spell checker and initial page default.

At times, Edge will underline a word in red telling me that it is incorrectly spelled, but then it does not offer me the correctly spelled word, which is just plain weird. So, when this occurs, I have to go out to Google, paste the incorrectly-spelled word in to the search box; then when Google comes up with the correctly spelled word, I have to copy it and then paste it into my post. It is just a PIA and takes extra time. Edge must have the correct spelling in a file or dictionary somewhere - otherwise how would it know what I typed in is incorrect (misspelled)?

Also, I have my home page set to Google, but that only works for the very first page when bringing up Edge after a system start-up or system reboot. If I just open a new tab, it brings up MSN, which I am not a fan of at all.

The "initial page" that the user sets up should carry through to new pages that are opened or new tabs that are opened - like IE did and the vast majority of other browsers do.

Other than those minor inconveniences, I really do like Edge. Also, Edge is noticeably faster than IE was.

*This*

I haven't been able to sign in with my Google account and sync or my microsoft account for that matter. When I try to sign in with my MS account, I get a message that "I cannot sign in while Edge is running as Administrator".

I sent that and screenshots to the Feedback Hub.

I really like Edge as well but I am so embedded in the Google ecosystem personal and work, I don't have time to completely convert.
