[SOLVED] WHS2011 windows update error 80073712 SFC won't run

Great, good news do you think i could only restore this file or is better to retore complete backup of C:\ drive ??
An other question how this file became corrupt, Raid is ok on ny server no smart alert on disks no update pb until this one
 
It would be best to restore the entire C:\ drive. It will likely work with only restoring the SOFTWARE hive but it's not recommended. Things that can cause this type of corruption are usually hardware related (memory, disk, processor, etc.). Or if there was a power outage or something like this as well. Hard to say.
 
thanx for all informations, i 'll folow your advice and restore entire disks... I think i m going to do a benchmk of the machine after restoration to point some cpu or ram issues server has power spully UPS IDIALOG riello. But during August we had big storm electrical pb could be the cause. Certainly restore this week end... I 'll keep you inform.
