Here's what I did: I first tried to copy the 10GB C:\windows\winsxs folder from my healthy PC to a flash drive. After about 33% completion I got the error "1 Interruption Action. An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the folder ... Error: 080070052 The directory or file cannot be created."
So next I tried, starting with the first of the 7 files identified as corrupt by the SFC scan log in my original post "amd64_microsoft-windows-winlogon_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.10586.63_none_f3dc0aaa859f8abd" (without the quotes), I searched in the WinSxS folder in my healthy PC and it wasn't found. I did the same with the other 6 files and none were found. I then searched all of the local C: drive and none were found.
So I thought to try to find the same files in my problem PC and they all were found except for the 7th one. I copied them and they are attached with each folder I labeled with the name of the identified file and the folder contains what was found for that file. Along with the search results of each file, each one also had an accompanying Manifest file at C:>Windows>WinSxS>Manifests, but each file had 0kb so I didn't copy those.
The locations of the corrupted files in the problem PC are - without the quotes:
1- "C%3A%5C\amd64_microsoft-windows-winlogon_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.10586.63_none_f3dc0aaa859f8abd "

Maybe I'm not understanding this right but the corrupted files the SFC scan identified don't seem to be individual files, since a few of the searched files included more files, so I don't know what to call the results listed: Files, folders, something else? Also, why aren't they found in my healthy PC? Did the SFC scan list results it created itself and not list the actual names of the corrupted files? If so, how are the actual corrupted file names identified so they can be replaced? Note: The site's attachment manager is messed up. I'll include the attached files in my next post.
