[Win10v1607Build14393 x64] 0x80073712

Re: [Win10 x64] 0x80073712

The same thing happened again - it started to and then stopped with an error code of 0x363B

Re: [Win10 x64] 0x80073712

I think we need to uninstall your AV software before we continue as it may be causing a conflict. Please let me know when that's done.

McAfee SecurityCenter

I have tried doing this but again - no luck - it comes up with an error message 'The file "autorun.dll" could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot continue. Error code is [0x7E]'

Any ideas?

Thanks

Michael

Are you able to follow the instructions below from a different PC...ideally at a different location (office, library, etc.)?

1. Download the Media Creation Tool to your desktop. Go ahead and run this. Note: Click the Download tool now button when you are at this link.
2. Accept the license agreement
3. Select Create installation media for another PC and click Next and then Next again.
4. Choose ISO file and then when prompted, save the ISO file to your desktop.

Then copy the ISO on to a USB drive and bring back to your computer?

I put it on a DVD from the another location and tried to run it but get the same error message ?!

0x36B3I copied it on to the desktop into a new folder and tried to run it but got an error message again of 0x36B3

The full script was "The file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot continue. Error code is [0x36B3]"

Please do the following.

Step#1 - ChkDsk Scan/Repair
1. Right-click your Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin). Answer Yes to allow if the User Account Control dialog comes up.
2. You should now have a black window open that you can type in to.
3. Please type chkdsk /R and then press enter. Note: There is a space after the command chkdsk and before the forward slash
4. You will get a prompt telling you chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use. Answer Y and hit enter to schedule the run at next boot. Reboot your machine.
5. Chkdsk will start to run. Please allow it to finish. You will know it is running when you see text as follows.
Chkdsk.JPG

6. Download ListChkdskResult.exe by SleepyDude and save it on your desktop. If it's already downloaded to your desktop, just skip this step.
7. Right-click this file and select Run as administrator (Allow if prompted)and a text file will open (and also be saved on the desktop as ListChkdskResult.txt).
Please copy the contents of this file and paste into your next post.
