Hi,

Please follow my instructions carefully.

SFC scan
  • open up a Command Prompt Window as a Administrator, instructions for Windows 7 or Windows 8 and 8.1.
  • Inside the command prompt window type or copy & Paste the following command:
    sfc /scannow
Note: This may take some time to finish. Let me know if the result is not "No integrity violations found"

If you are unsure about something on the instructions please ask.

Hi,

Sorry but you are not following my instructions!

I didn't ask you to run SFCFIX or for any log.

If you follow my instructions correctly you will see the following (click the picture to see it big):
RepairWindows7SystemFiles.jpg

Please tell me if you got the same result as the image "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations" or not.

I'm sorry. I get confused. In any event, I did run SFC sCANNOW and did NOT get "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations" That is why I ran the SFCFIX It was back to same errors. so I ran sfc scannow several times last night but have not looked at result.
I just had a look and part of my problem was there were some MS auto updates that were trying to reboot. I will let updates finish reboot and re-run sfc scannow

Hi,

Thanks for reporting the result. Now only the following please.

Export the CBS folder
  1. Click the Start button
    Win7Orb.gif
    then click Computer.
  2. Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  3. Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  4. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
  5. Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
  6. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  7. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.
  8. Attach this to your next post please, if the file is too big please upload the file to a service like Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive or upload to SendSpace and just provide the link for the file here.

Hi. Thank you soooo much 4 ur patience. I don't blame u if u want to shoot me. I want to shoot me!
CBS log was a mess as I ran sfc/scannow a number of times last night. The file got so big I could not open. So I deleted it this am and reran sfc /scannow
Here is this am's CBS log:

CBS (2).zip (file://BOYZIE/Users/Me/Dropbox/CBS%20(2).zip)

Did i copy link correctly? All of sudden I don't know how to do it. :(

Yes except I have those 2 SURT issues. But I can live with them as I will just drive you nuts!
Many thanks for your help and have a great day!!:smile9::wave:

If you run SUR again by following the instructions from post #5 you can confirm that there are no errors.
