[SOLVED] [Win7SP1 x64] Can't install Security monthly Quality Rollup KB4034664 - 80073712

Please try it, if the installation fails zip and attach C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log with your reply.

It did fail, unfortunately. The CBS.log wasn't so big so I've attached it without compressing.

Looks like the log was archived. Please upload the latest CbsPersist_*.zip file to a file sharing site and include the link here.

I think I found the problem... looks like the version number for the winner in the SideBySide registry is incorrect.

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

 1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
 2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
 3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
 4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
 5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
 6. SFCFix will now process the script.
 7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
 8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text.

Once complete, reinstall kb4019263, then try the update again.

DISM.exe /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\temp\windows6.1-kb4019263-x64.cab

If either fails, zip and attach the CBS log with your reply.

Fixed, thank you! That's absolutely amazing, I can't thank you enough!

Once I'd reinstalled kb4019263 and rebooted, 11 updates showed up rather then just the 2 failing ones. All installed correctly and now the PC is showing as needing no updates.

Is there anything (logfiles, etc) you need from the PC before I tidy the temp folder up?

Glad to hear it!

Go ahead and run SFC if you would like, but as it was not detecting any problems previously it should come back clean :)

I'll mark the thread solved. If you encounter any problems, please post back and I will continue to assist you.
