Windows 10 time update fails

I'll try the upgrade first.

I figure it must have been a Windows update that caused the problem.

If it's gonna require a fresh install, I may wait before I do that as I really don't want to reinstall all my programs just yet, but will do so as a last resort. Plus I don't really do anything where the time is super critical to be 100% perfect.

LOL when I wanted to update when I was ready, Windows was all pushy, but now that I want to update more on its own, Windows isn't pushy.

Interestingly enough a second desktop that is the same model and set up the same way as the problem desktop syncs the time just fine.

I am going ahead and upgrading the laptop to see if that fixes it. If not I may try the repair install on it.

Uninstall any non-Microsoft antivirus, firewall, or drive encryption.
If the upgrade fails run setupdiag and post a share link into this thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive.
In case both computers fail to upgrade then plan to use one thread for each computer so that the steps and results remain separate.

So far I've had good luck with updates installing properly.

Knowing Microsoft, it's probably an issue that only affects a small portion of users and if so they probably don't have enough of an issue to fix it.

The newest update I downloaded last night and am installing it now.

I don't know if it's still true, but at one point having a thumb drive connected could make an update fail. So I unplugged them.

Wow that's an approximately 18 to 20 year old computer: Inspiron 1521
Dell support was only for XP and Vista.

The log collector did not collect much as it was an upgrade.
It verified Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 19041) (19041.vb_release.191206-1406)

What ports are available to boot from?
Indicate when you can boot using Ubuntu.

Yes it's 11 years old.

While the upgrade didn't fix the time issue I did notice a slight increase in how fast web pages load.

I can boot from USB.

Boot using Ubuntu > open mozilla firefox > open the website time.is > take a picture > post an image into the thread

Boot windows > open a browser (firefox if available) > open time.is > take a picture > post an image into the thread
