Darn! It still didn't work :(

After roughly 15 failures now I am noticing a patern.

1) Percentage of update slowly increments to around 30%
2) Stays on 30% for a while, then computer turns off.
3) Computer turns on, it rapidly climbs in percentages until it gets to 94%
4) Says it can't complete update and says undoing changes
5) Reboots
6) Says undoing changes again and allows me to log in after a bit.

It consistently does these 6 steps the last 15 times I've done this update including this one.

In any case here is the CBS.log, it got massive after this update, around 52 MB!

Interesting! I uninstalled Kaspersky, disabled Malwarebytes, and disabled Windows Defender. Did the update and viola! It worked!

That should be it for now, but I know where to go if I should run into more issues, thank you for everything! By the way, just curious, how did you know antivirus could've been the culprit?

Great :) No problem. Just an educational guess when I saw that the updates were rolling back near the end, I suspected either a corrupt registry key or a low-level kernel driver interfering.

Interesting! I'm so happy this is finally resolved, do you think I can give you a donation through PayPal for your hardwork for everyone on this forum? You really deserve it!

Great! I just donated $10, I know it's not too much, but as a college student it's all I can afford right now :(

I wish you the best of luck of helping others who may be struggling with Windows issues :)
