Hi there,

I need help a Windows Update issue - error code (0x800700c1). My PC is running version 22H2 and OS build 19045.2965

My Windows won't update—it just shows an error. I tried performing a clean start of my PC, but it didn't work. I also ran sfc /scannow, but it couldn't start the repair service.

I've had this problem for a long time, and I still can't figure out how to solve it. I've searched the internet for solutions to my Windows update error, but nothing has worked so far. I was about to give up until I came across this forum, where people who have experienced the same error code have successfully found a solution.

I have attatched everything as required by the Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions below.

Step #1 - Run SFC Scan

It could not run the code

Step #2 - Run SURT/DISM

I ran the code Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. Its says that the source files could not be found with the error code: 0x800f081f. I've attached the DISM log below.

Step #3 - Run ComponentsScanner

Have attached the results below.

Step #4 - Export CBS Folder

Have attached the results below.
Thank you in advance.

If you haven't already, please review the posting instructions here, and attach the requested log files. Without log files, our helpers will not be able to assist, and this will slow down fixing your machine.

If logs have been already been provided, our team of volunteers will analyse the provided log files to build a fix for your system. Please be aware that this may take several days from your initial post, due to the high volume of threads that we receive.
