February 11, 2025—KB5051974 (OS Builds 19044.5487 and 19045.5487) - Microsoft Support
Error: Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x8007000d)
Items tried:
- sfc /scannow as administrator
- Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth as administrator
- ran ComponentsScanner / no corruption found
- maually downloaded file from Microsoft Update Catalog and tried to install .msu
- many other things tried like this:
net stop wuauserv & net stop bits & net stop cryptsvc
rd /s /q c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
net start wuauserv & net start bits & net start cryptsvc
sc config wuauserv start=auto
sc config bits start=auto
sc config cryptsvc start=auto
- Ran Windows Update Troubleshooter multiple times. It sometimes detects a pending reboot. I reboot. I try update again. Get same error.
I'm not getting anywhere. I thought I was a Windows expert. I guess not. Any suggestions would be appreciated other than reinstall. :) Thanks!!!
