[SOLVED] Windows 7 64bit update problem

Hey,I dont have Extract All option after right click.
Only Open and 7Zip option.

The same error. "The system cannot find the path specified" .

The problem is probably with the way the files are extracted.

OK done.

The file was opened by 7Zip by default and therefore the Extract All option is gone.

Retrieve Components Hive

  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
  • Please copy this file to your desktop.
  • Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
  • Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
  • The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to a file sharing service.
  • Examples of services to upload to are WeTransfer and TransferKit and SendFileOnline
Please post me the link to the file by Personal Message.

OK, fix looks to have processed correctly, I'll be back with my next set of instructions as soon as possible. As I have to have them checked first this may be a while.

If you had updates set to update automatically, don't forget to set it back to that.

Any problems, let me know, and post your CBS.log
