Windows 7 Error: Code 800B0100

Still bad news I'm afraid, when I copied that into cmd and pressed enter it only echoed the command and said nothing else, also after reboot and update attempt there was no new CBS logs
 
...I'm having this same error (together with 8024200D) on a fresh install of Win7E x64, and 20 updates keep failing (actually 21, but I've hidden the KB2862330).
So far I've tried everything listed in this post (included kb947821 and all the others).
Shall I open a new post for my issue?

This might be a long shot about the time issue, but please run the following:

Click Start => Run => Copy and paste the following then press Enter
cmd /c date /t >1 & SC QUERYEX w32time >>1&& sc qc w32time >>1 && Notepad 1

Command query
  1. Click on the
    Win7Orb_zps4dae3b32.jpg
    button. Inside the search box type in CMD
  2. Right click on CMD => Choose Run as Administrator
  3. Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following commands
    reg query "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ws32Time" /s > 0 & notepad 0
  4. Once finished a note pad file called R will open Please post the contents back into this thread.

Once done please post the contents of 0 and 1

the command for the reg query is not quite right:

This is what I get, it goes onto the next line after "/s >" so I'm not really sure if its actually putting in the space, so I tried it with and without a space on the next line. I get the same both times as shown below:

On the System tray right click on the Time -> Adjust date/time -> Internet time -> Change settings
-Make sure Synchronize with an Internet Time Server is ticked
-Select Server: time.windows.com

Click on Update Now -> Wait until it says "The clock was successfully synchronized with time.windows.com

Also what is the time inside the BIOS? can you check to see if that is correct.
 
Just wondering why you are looking at fixing the time for? If you were looking at the problem I got on the first page I managed to solve that "80072F8F was apparently me being silly and forgetting to put the clock back forward, Google works fine again too.". The system time and date are all correct.
 
The dates don't look right on the old CBS logs that's why I asked you to check. Some of the dates refer back to before Windows 7 was released.

Any ideas with this one Tom?

At this stage I believe you will be best to either do a repair install of Windows or a Fresh install. This error has been going on for some time and no progression seems to be made.
 
Oh man that sucks, but since I have windows installed on two ssd's (raid 0) it should be pretty painless right? given most of my programs/games are installed on separate drives. But even so, it sucks to hear them words :P I'll get around to it nearer Christmas when I have no uni work then. Hopefully I wont need any more help on here if all goes well.

A repair install 'should be', as long as backups are made. But it also depends on how the programs where installed and if they rely on the registry hive SOFTWARE, if the hive is on one drive and the programs are on another, doing a repair install may reset entries from the SOFTWARE, which may make your games/programs to stop working.

Please follow the instructions Here to run the System Update Readiness Tool. When the SURT finishes installing, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the SURT log into your next post please:
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log


SFC /SCANNOW

  1. Click on the
    Win7Orb_zps4dae3b32.jpg
    button. Inside the search box type in CMD
  2. Right click on CMD => Choose Run as Administrator
  3. Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following command SFC /SCANNOW
  4. Please wait for this to Finish before continuing with the rest of the steps.

Convert CBS.log to CBS.txt

  1. Click on the
    Win7Orb_zps4dae3b32.jpg
    button => Inside the search box copy and paste the following command:

    cmd /c copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  2. Press Enter
  3. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please upload CBS.txt to this thread
