Windows 7 errors updating since april

I've just checked that the key that was removed by FRST still exists but some data from it has been deleted

Yes, it does matter. Don't delete anything I do not tell you to delete.

It is normal for the key to be present. SURT took care of that. Onto the next one:

FRST Registry Search
1. Click your Start button and choose Control Panel.
2. In the upper right corner ensure the View by: is set to Category.
3. Select the Programs group.
4. Click the Turn Windows features on or off link. This will bring up the Windows Features dialog. Wait until this dialog populates with information. If this does not happen for some reason, please continue with the steps anyway.
Note: This loads your components hive which is what we want. Please keep this dialog open while you perform the remaining steps.
5. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 32-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
6. Run FRST by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
7. Copy and paste
x86_microsoft.msxml2_6bd6b9abf345378f_4.1.0.0_none_6c030d6fdc86522c into the Search box and click the Search Registry button.
8. When the scan is complete a notepad window will open with the results. Please attach this to your next reply. It is saved on your desktop named SearchReg.txt.
9. You may close any remaining open windows now.

Yes.

Step#1 - FRST Fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 32-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
5. When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

I did what you wanted and even more
1. FRST with your fixlist
2. SURT log named CheckSUR - avastproteon.log
3. Then I came up with the idea of disabling Avast self-defense module and I ran SURT - log CheckSUR - avastproteoff.log
4 SFC - without errors
5. After reboot, Avast does not work
6. I launched WU and installed the last monthly patch KB4457144
After restarting the old story - windows does not start and the system repair starts. I have restored the restore point created in step 1
7. I have repeated steps 1 and 2 - fixlog.txt, checksur.log

Now in fixlog it writes that no keys were found for removal, but I assure you that they were found and removed the first time. The first fixlog has been overwritten. And present checksur.log is identical to CheckSUR - avastproteon.log
We can safely assume that the system is at the stage of step 2.
Avast has only been installed for 2 weeks, so this is not the main reason.
I am beginning to doubt that it is possible to fix this problem.

Hello
Today it was close to the catastrophe but I managed to get out of this situation. The situation looks like I still can not install the monthly patch. Only now after installing monthly patch system reboots, starts and run until it reaches BSOD. Then it remains only to restore the restore point.
The last successful installation of monthly update took place in April
Windows Update error (KB4457144): 800F0845
BSOD: 0x1000008e
Sfc - without errors
Do you have any idea?

Step#1 - FRST Scan

1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 32-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Right click to run as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
3. Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running (if not already).
4. Press Scan button.
5. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should now be the desktop)
6. Please attach the log back here.
7. Another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST.exe) will be generated Please also attach that along with the FRST.txt in your reply.

Open Command Prompt as Administrator and enter the following:
Code:
[B]reg add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Haspnt /v ImagePath /t REG_EXPAND_SZ /d C:\Windows\system32\drivers\Haspnt.sys /f [/B]
After that's done, reboot and retry updates.

Unfortunately - BSOD
Before I did your command I checked: "ImagePath" value was
\ ?? \ C: \ Windows \ system32 \ drivers \ Haspnt.sys
After the system was restored appeared new one
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ Haspnt \ Enum]
"INITSTARTFAILED" = dword: 00000001
I found a topic very similar, but I do not know what is going on yet:
KB4093118, PC keep restarting - Microsoft Community

I know what program installed the haspnt.sys driver so I can uninstall it to try install the patch without that program. What do you think?
And one more thing. When I started the system repair after BSOD, it displayed an error 0x1000008e and the action is:
checking system file integrity system = failed 0xa
And all restore points disappeared.
It's look like looking for a needle in a haystack

I'm stubborn, so I did the test. I have disabled the Haspnt.sys driver by autoruns and windows media network services too.
After reboot I installed monthly patch and the effect are as always
Well, I will not waste your's and my time anymore. If you have any new idea, we'll try this last time.
Thank you so much for your effort and help - you managed to fix a few things.
Ultimately, I can live without windows patches.

Navigate to the ImagePath value again and erase the two ??.
Sorry, I learned English a long time (thank God for the Google translator:smile9:), you may have misunderstood me.
If the value is to be like this:
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\Haspnt.sys

then I've already done it. Your previous entry and command
reg add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Haspnt /v ImagePath /t REG_EXPAND_SZ /d C:\Windows\system32\drivers\Haspnt.sys /f
did set this value. And it didn't work.
In the meantime, I tried to disable all non-MS services and all autostart programs and try update - it did not help

Can you please navigate to the
Code:
[B]HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Haspnt[/B]

and take a screenshot of every value including their value data. Thanks!

Oh, welcome
I thought you gave up, and yet I look into the thread again...
The ImagePath value has been changed back to the original one. Probably by System Restore or I did it myself - I do not remember
Haspnt.reg.txt is just .reg file but i cant upload such extentsion. :noidea:
