running windows update will let you know how it goes

uploading cbs.log to sendspace as it grew large.

looks like they are not that important
the only ones it lists at the mo is for office 2007.

Oh, okay. So everything security wise for the OS has been installed. As for the Office updates, you can try installing just one and let me know what it says. Do you have SP3 installed onto your Office 2007 package?

Yes, you can do a SFC Scan now.

yes it says sp3 in about box

sfc ran and repaired files then added the results to the cbs file.
i have copyed the results I think.

just ran sfc again and came back all ok

No go on the updates for office tried them all one at a time.

did a reboot and tried again still fails on office 2007 updates.
I think we are at a 100% better on the sfc so not to worried about the old office 2007
