This error code points to firewall/AV/proxy issue. Please check and temporary uninstall any AV or security software that might be installed and see if that gets things moving.

Is Desktop Experience installed? If yes, remove it please.

Removed. Rebooted to finish removal. Tried to update. Same error.
Please note: I have not been able to do the requested action in #28. I will try asking the techs who set up the server if they can tell me how.

Can you temporarily remove DiskGenius and retry updates?

Uninstalled DiskGenius. No change.
Ran SFC /Scannow yesterday. There are corrupt files that SFC could not repair. I think we may have to try a repair install, if there is such a thing and if I can find the disc.
Also, when trying to find the product key for Windows Server 2012, using Belarc Advisor, it could not update because it couldn't get an Internet connection. Maybe whatever caused that is also causing the Windows Update problem. Maybe?
