[SOLVED] Windows Server 2012R2 not updating

Hmm, the latest CBS log doesn't have any errors, could you please check the other ones? It might be worthwhile doing a registry search with FRST64 for KB4339284 too.

Attached is one of the previous CBS logs, looks like it was moved to one of the CbsPersist files which is why it wasn't captured in the last log that I sent. I also attached the search results for KB4339284 using FRST64. It looks like maybe this is the issue from the CBS logs?

with the exception of one update: KB4339284. That one fails to install with an error code of 800F0831. I'm not sure why that update is trying to install anyways as it's from August 2018.
It looks like this update is partially installed, let's remove it with FRST64, please see the attached FRST64 fix script below.

This error might be getting caused by the KB4339284 update actually, if it still appears after removing KB4339284, then we can investigate further.

It looks like this update is partially installed, let's remove it with FRST64, please see the attached FRST64 fix script below.

I removed the update with the FRST64 fix script you provided. I was then able to successfully install the KB that was failing previously. I ran another check for updates and it looks like it is all caught up now (will find out for sure when the next monthly updates come out later this month!). Thanks for everything! It's been super informative learning how the whole CBS / Windows Update process actually works.

Welcome, I'm glad we managed to get the server updated in the end, let's hope the next set of updates install smoothly!
