[SOLVED] Windows Server 2016 Build 1493.5989 cannot add feature defender with assembly error 0x80073701

I really appreciate your help.
sfc /scannow is now without errors, WD is installed.

This is actually my 6th server 2016 out of 12 that had this error. My first was a DC that I tried to fix with MS 2 years ago. It was totally time consuming. I was told to delete all the REG entries by hand.
In the end I had to reinstall the DC anyway.

Of course I will donate something for your forum.

I've seen similar issues with server 2019, and more difficult issues with server 2022. So it's not a specific issue with WS 2016 systems.
