Recently upgraded server from 2012 to server 2019, no issues with the upgrade but it refuses to install latest CU. Done all the usual tricks to no avail.

Many thanks for your help again!

I have tried the following

sfc /scannow
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Also ran the SFCFix.exe from this site

Deleted Windows Update folder

Also, at the request of a private message from a member

Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth

It started but then failed with

Repair-WindowsImage : The restore operation failed. Either the repair source was not found or the component store
cannot be repaired.

  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
