Latest log shows more missing entries, unfortunately some of them are from earlier updates than the earliest update on my WS2022 VM, so can't source the necessary replacements until I've created a new VM and updated it with all the necessary updates.

This is going to take a while, so not sure when I'll be able to get back to you, but it's unlikely to be today, and I'm going to be busy tomorrow, so can't guarantee it will be then either.

No problem, I'm very grateful for you help.
I'll be gone for about a week, but when I come back I'll definitely keep trying.

Got finished earlier than expected, so if you've got time before you go, then ....

Couple of new entries to patch, different to the ones we've already patched, but related.

Hopefully it shouldn't be too hard to source replacements, and I will get back to you as soon as I have.

Nothing being flagged in your latest CBS.log, so please try updating your machine.

If successful please let me know.

If not please post me the CBS.log created after your update attempt.

Please don't run DISM or do anything else that may "conceal" evidence of the reason for failure.

We've made quite a few alterations to your machine, so could you please post me a "current" version of your COMPONENTS hive ...

  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
  • Please copy this file to your desktop.
  • Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
  • Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
  • The file may be too large to upload here, if so please upload to a file sharing service.
  • Examples of services to upload to are WeTransfer and TransferKit and SendFileOnline

Please post me the link to the file
