[SOLVED] Windows Update/Component Store corruption (missing payload) for FlashPlayer files

Will do this tomorrow am.

Glad to hear you are a b-ball fan, but, unfortunately, I'm pulling for GS (and would have even if ATL (home town) had beaten the Cavs). Just love the Splash Bros! Nevertheless, Cavs have earned my respect. Tomorrows game will be interesting!

All tied up! Kerr's decision to start the smaller lineup made a big difference and Lebron wasn't Superman tonight. (I do not understand why the NBA lets so many people be so close to the court. Someone is going to get hurt badly as a result eventually.)

OK, back to the problem at hand. So, your instructions state that I'm to run ProcMon until the update fails; however, the update doesn't fail until after the machine restarts (i.e., during the boot process and prior to user logon, which means ProcMon can't be started unless there's a way to insert it into the boot process??). Do you want me to just run ProcMon until the Installer asks to restart the machine?

That was a smart decision. Plus the Cavs just looked beat. They had nothing left. Realistically I don't see them winning another game..Lebron can't do it all and we're missing two key players. I was just happy to see the effort given so far.

Do you want me to just run ProcMon until the Installer asks to restart the machine?
Yes please.

Brain,
I decided to skip that anti-malware update and try some of the next updates. All but one of those eight installed without a problem, using the Windows Updater. Next came 15-20 optional updates. All of those installed successfully, as well as an additional security update for Windows. I just hid those two that wouldn't install and am going to live with that result. Thanks so much for all your assistance!

Sorry bout the Cavs, but the better team won this year. I'm sure the Cavs will make another run next year. If they stay healthy they'll be tough to beat.

Regards,
Jim

Thanks for the update. The better team definitely won. Curry is freaking awesome!!! I've never seen a shooter and ball handler like him.

Take care.
