The replacements worked so go ahead and run another sfc /scannow and then when it's done send me the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

Thanks.

CBS.log

Also i was randomly browsing in case it comes to a fresh install and coincidentally found here that its a common issue to several Win7 users, it also mentions not to install KB3022345 as it may give CBS errors, do you think this is related? They list exactly the packages that seem to be corrupted (Hyphenation and Spelling from IE):

IE-Win7.cab, IE-Hyphenation, IE-Spelling-en

DISM /add-package (IE11, PreReqs, and KB2929437):
KB2670838, KB2726535, KB2729094-v2, KB2786081, KB2834140, KB2929437DISM /add-package (IE11 Updates)
KB3021952, KB3049563, KB3023607

*IMPORTANT NOTE*
KB3022345 is currently listed for download by Windows Update.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD this unless they update it.
It currently will give your system CBS system errors.
I recommend not using Automatic Updates until they fix it.

Thanks for all your help.

The link you provided brings me to a torrent download page so I'm not sure what you were referencing on that one. KB3022345 is a known issue and not to worry about. I don't think that update is related. Thanks for the info though.

OK, we have another permissions problem that we need to deal with.

Code:
2015-06-04 11:13:04, Error                 CSI    00000128 (F) STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED #4297825# from Windows::Rtl::SystemImplementation::DirectFileSystemProvider::SysCreateFile(flags = (AllowFileNotFound), handle = {provider=NULL, handle=0}, da = (FILE_GENERIC_READ), oa = @0x63e078->OBJECT_ATTRIBUTES {s:24; rd:NULL; on:[136]"\SystemRoot\WinSxS\x86_microsoft-windows-b..os-loader.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.18741_es-es_7847fd374287fce0\winresume.exe.mui"; a:(OBJ_CASE_INSENSITIVE)}, iosb = @0x63e030, as = (null), fa = 0, sa = (FILE_SHARE_READ|FILE_SHARE_WRITE|FILE_SHARE_DELETE), cd = FILE_OPEN, co = (FILE_NON_DIRECTORY_FILE|FILE_SYNCHRONOUS_IO_NONALERT), eab = NULL, eal = 0, disp = Invalid)
[gle=0xd0000022]

Can you browse to C:\Windows\Winsxs and then locate the directory named x86_microsoft-windows-b..os-loader.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.18741_es-es_7847fd374287fce0.

Right-click on this directory and select properties. Let me know how yours looks. Mine looks like the following.

Yeah i found that Win7 torrent while searching for the error name and corrupted packages, the description section described my CBS log problem so closely i thought it might be related.

This is how it looks to me, TrustedInstaller is hidden at the bottom:

Please do the following.

Step#1 - Examine Permissions

  • Click Start -> Inside the search field search for Powershell.exe
  • Right-Click on Powershell in the search results and select Run as administrator.
  • Inside the PowerShell windows copy the following commands (one by one) and press enter after each line.
    get-acl "C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft-windows-b..os-loader.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.18741_es-es_7847fd374287fce0\" | format-list >2
    get-acl "C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft-windows-b..os-loader.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.18741_es-es_7847fd374287fce0\winresume.exe.mui" | format-list >>2
    notepad 2
  • You should now have a notepad file with all the security permissions for these folders. Please post the contents back into this thread.

I did it but the notepad didn't pop up and no notepad file was created in my desktop or the powershell folder either.

Also i was checking some old drives and ran into another trouble, tried using diskpart and this happened:

JIusJNR.png

Could this be a related problem? Because if it isn't and it takes a completely different approach i think i might be best (unluckily :frown6: ) to do a fresh install, what do you think?

The reason the commands didn't work is that it looks like it was putting line breaks in the middle of the line. it's probably wrapping on your screen. I would copy the commands into notepad and make sure you have word wrap off. Get rid of any line breaks so that you only show three commands in notepad. It will look like the following. Then copy the commands from notepad and paste them into the PowerShell window.

The Diskpart issue could be related or it could just be that a service is in fact disabled (like disk defragmenter) or another one. We can look at this after.

A repair install will likely be faster to fix then what we are doing. So if you wish to do that go ahead. Just make sure that your DVD is Windows 7 Ultimate x86 With SP1. If your DVD doesn't have SP1 included then you will have to uninstall SP1 first and then do the repair install. A repair install will keep all of your data and programs so you don't have to re-install anything. I would try that first. If that doesn't work then you can do a fresh install. All of this is documented at the following link. Let me know how it goes.
