also,i am not touching the updates at all until you give the go ahead.

on a side note, what is it that causes this? i have 4 computers in our office that are doing the same thing.

I'm not certain we solved it yet. If we do, I'll tell you exactly what ended up being the solution.

Go ahead and try an update and let me know how it goes.

This is actually better I believe. Please do a Clean Boot of your machine and then try the updates again. If it fails, please zip and attach the following log.

C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

alright! updates installed, rebooted and no more updates needed to install, but still have the annoying windows 10 reminder (no thanks microsoft)

so, it appears my 1 out of 4 or 5 computers is fixed, so can i get an explanation now? i am going to have to go through this a few times with the ones i already got, but would like to avoid any more.

thanks for the fix on this one, though. you are my hero.

but still have the annoying windows 10 reminder (no thanks Microsoft)
If I were you I would reserve your copy of Windows 10. It's free for the 1st year. You aren't required to install it until you are ready but at least you will have it. If you really don't ever want it and want to get rid of the reminder, you can uninstall KB3035583.

Now for your issue. I suspect that Panda Management possibly played a role here. It appears an update was installed but the following key was never removed properly. The removal could have been blocked by this software. I can't be certain but that's my suspicion.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update\RebootRequired]

So if you delete this key on one of the other machines and reboot I suspect you will be able to get updates. You may have to do a Clean Boot as you did in the prior step which will ensure that any 3rd party programs (such as Panda Management) don't load and try to block the attempt.

I'll go ahead and mark this one resolved. If you work on another machine and this doesn't work you can always open up a new thread and we can help you through it. Take care.
