Let's update the drivers.
First, create a System Restore point by following the instructions here:
Create a restore point
Write down these instructions, but do not follow them. They will only be required if after the driver update you are not able to connect to the wireless network or get on the internet.
On to the update instructions :smile9:
Download Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver Version 6.34.223.5 here:
bcm43xx_6_34_223_5.zip, and save it to your Desktop.
Right click on the .zip file and choose Extract All.
Click Extract.
This should create a folder named bcm43xx_6_34_223_5 on your Desktop.
Manually Update Device Driver
- Open Device Manager by clicking the [FONT=WOL_Bold]Start[/FONT] button , clicking [FONT=WOL_Bold]Control Panel[/FONT], clicking [FONT=WOL_Bold]System and Security[/FONT], and then, under [FONT=WOL_Bold]System[/FONT], clicking [FONT=WOL_Bold]Device Manager[/FONT].
- In the list of hardware categories, find the device that you want to update (Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter), and then double-click the device name.
- Click the [FONT=WOL_Bold]Driver[/FONT] tab, click [FONT=WOL_Bold]Update Driver[/FONT], choose [FONT=WOL_Bold]Browse My Computer for Driver Software[/FONT], click [FONT=WOL_Bold]Browse[/FONT] and choose the bcm43xx_6_34_223_5 folder on your Desktop, then click [FONT=WOL_Bold]Next[/FONT].
Let me know if it finds and installs the driver or if it says something else.
For the Wired LAN driver, download the latest driver Version 17.0.0.3 here:
View attachment win_b57_x64-17.0.0.3.zip and save it yo your Desktop.
Right click on the .zip file and choose Extract All.
Click Extract.
This should create a folder named win_b57_x64-17.0.0.3 on your Desktop.
Follow the same steps as before, but look for
Broadcom NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet in Device Manager and browse to the
win_b57_x64-17.0.0.3 folder on your Desktop.
